How to play Toons Universe
A round is a floor of the INNOVA facility. You finish machines and computers, survive the Infecteds, and leave in the elevator. Malachor pays out after.
The overview separates the multi-source core loop from older single-wiki timing and control notes. Loadout and Panic Mode timers are not stated as current fixed values.
Source status: wiki-only figures are single-source reports. Several pages from the same wiki still count as one publisher. Independent agreement and source disagreements are identified in the text; the source links below were reviewed on 2026-10-27.
The loop
- Free starters are Nimbus and Weffle, on both the wiki and togame.io.
- Three hearts. Five stats. Sixteen pips total, per the wiki, with togame.io agreeing on the total.
- Extractors use the extraction stat. Computers use hacking. Skill checks are described as white Good, yellow Great, and blue Perfect.
- A failed skill check can pull a nearby Infected.
- Sanity falls while you are chased. At zero, the wiki says max stamina starts to drop until you cannot sprint.
- Even floors can open Chekhov's elevator shop for Parts. Odd floors can offer a card vote. Both are wiki-sourced.
Events you will meet
Blackout, gas leak, elevator fuse, and flood are described on the maps page. Panic Mode, on the old game page only, says Infecteds speed up after the machines and that missing the elevator eliminates you regardless of hearts. That panic sentence is one old page.
Controls
The old game page lists E, F, and Shift on PC, plus on-screen buttons on mobile. A 16 March 2026 patch mentioned mobile fixes. A 30 July 2026 video looks at a new tutorial. None of these is a current official control card.
